S21 - Alles oder nichts einer Bewegung - Jetzt!
Bahn mit offenem Visier – und wir?

Egal ob es eine neue Regierung gibt, egal ob der Stresstest unstimmig ist, egal ob der Bahnhof schlechter funktioniert, egal ob Menschen in ihrer Mobilität beeinträchtigt werden, egal unsere natürliche Umwelt langfristige Schäden trägt, egal ob unsere Sicherheit gefährdet ist.
Hunderte Frühstücksblockaden, 76 Montagsdemonstrationen, ein Dutzend Großdemonstrationen, dreieinhalb Besetzungen, einundhalbtage Aussitzen , eine große Blockade bei der Baumverpflanzung und eine Massenblockade mit tausenden Menschen am 30.9.. Welche dieser Aktionen hat effektiv einen Baustopp über die kurze Zeit der Aktion selbst gebracht? Eine einzige.
Wir haben in unserer Bewegung alles erlebt was an staatlicher Repression möglich ist: Einschüchterungen, Unterstellungen, Falschaussagen, Beleidigungen, juristische Massenverfolgungen, Diebstahl, Hausdurchsuchungen, unmenschliche Behandlungen in Gewahrsam, Körperverletzung und schwere Körperverletzungen. Diese fanden selten im Lichte der Presse und Öffentlichkeit statt sondern möglichst dann, wenn wir einzeln auf dem Weg nach Hause, im Polizeirevier oder schließlich wieder allein mit juristischer Verfolgung konfrontiert waren. Der Rechtsbeistand der Parkschützer leistet mit seinen begrenzten Mittel beste Arbeit und unterstützt die Betroffenen mit solidarischen Mitteln wo es geht. Auch unter der neuen rot-grünen Landesregierung wird der harte Repressionskurs weitergefahren. Bei dem Versuch die, aufgrund des Informationsstandes, der Falschaussagen der Bahn und dem bloßen Zusehen der neuen Landesregierung, berechtigte Blockade am Grundwassermanagement fortzuführen, wurden die Menschen mit einer Hundertschaft aus Bereitschaftspolizei, abends dem Staatsschutz in Form von Herrn Sitzler, und morgens auch durch Staatsanwalt Häussler begrüßt. Ihnen wurde von den Beamten zuerst zugesichert bei freiwilliger Räumung, keiner juristischen Verfolgung ausgesetzt zu werden, dann wurden sie eingekesselt und alle bekamen plötzlich doch eine Anzeige wegen versuchter Nötigung. Sobald die Arbeiten am Grundwassermanagement fertiggestellt sind, wird es unwiederbringliche Schäden an unserem Park geben. Die Bewegung gegen Stuttgart 21 und jeder einzelne Mensch, v.A. jeder Parkschützer, muss sich nun fragen: Will ich dieses Projekt wirklich stoppen? Was hat tatsächlich funktioniert um dies zu erreichen?
Die Demonstrationen? Die Schlichtung? Die Wahl?
Wir treffen uns am Freitagabend den 26.5. um 19 Uhr an der Parkwache um diese Frage zu beantworten.

Climate Justice? Yes it will be a heated summer - Germany tries to go back to coal..
Articel in german though - Ministerpresident Platzeck of the social democrats Brandenburg is serious by talking brown coal into a bridge technology?! Bell ringing...someone used to talk about something else as "bridge", same kind of lobby, same kind of strategy. And not with one word he mentiones the promise of "never again will viallges be destroyed" and that well billions of people are devastated because of climate change...he should take another visit in Pakistan & Australia maybe...oh Germany soon will get the share of floodings. I hope at least whilst the flood this "bridge" is working....at least we will put him right there!

Update from the capital of resistance in Germany
Coming into the first national action camp in Stuttgart hitchhiking form Berlin, it felt quite like coming home. Known faces, smiles and just positive energy. After helping out with the peoples ktichen I took a rebel clowns army workshop, which was a blast, and then a quick shot at a friends extremism ("and kinds of simplified models") workshop and finally went into the big tent for a stunning concert from Afreaks and Konstantin Wecker (German Icon of singer/songwriter resistance music)...after playing some music at the fire and watched a Gorleben movie on the local movement against nuclear energy I was falling asleep in a heap of hay in the circus tent. (Stuttgart plans to block Neckarwestheim II in August for a week Germanys youngest nuclear power plant which went to the grid in 1986 --> yes, right after Tschernobyl (WTF?!)) Sunday (yesterday) some more cooking for the kitchen and then two very important Guerilla-TV workshops on building a public media which is not brainwashing and right into the movements, actually cams21 (the S21 internet media 30.000 hits a day (!!!)) is providing the technique and infrastructure for cams34 - the offical channel for the spanish revolution and is in regular contact with the "speaker" of the spanish revolution...hit spanishrevolution.eu for more insight and live pictures from "Tahrir Square" Madrid. Built important contacts for the summer and our plans in that terms and had some good discussions with fellows on "The coming rebellion" ( http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki7Der_kommende_aufstand ). Then I was inaugaurated by the actionsupport team into my task as a communcator for the big blockade that is running right now...I have the night shift from 00.00-05.00 again and just on a quick break to restore form 2 full days and 6 hours of sleep. After a huge storm and some minor preperations for the action, I finished cooking and giving out food with the kitchens team and the saw a movie on Val de Sousa...the most actual biggest rebellion in Italy 50.000 people resisting for more 20 years the part-destruction of their valley..I tried to catch a dose of sleep but had to get up at 03.00 for the action..so everything is fine we are about 300-350 people blocking the groundwatermanagement..this morning two construction vehicles tried to enter but gave up pretty quick as police wants everything but an escalation..so everything is really easy..playing a lot of music with a percussion group singing the S21-songs and every now and then I sent some updates over the loud speakers...now I have to sleep to be fit for the night...I guess we see what will happen the next days. Energystruggles - My speech from the nuclear-forum protests Alexanderplatz Berlin yesterday
More then 30.000 expropriated people in Germany and they shall become more. 5 more villages near Cologne and Cottbus are facing destruction through RWE and Vattenfall. Why? Because there is cheap, for the threatened people and worldwide climate change affected costly, brown coal energy for the companies. And it doesn’t matter that they are already self-sufficient, produce even more energy than they need themselves. Self organised in solar-cooperatives, windparks and biogas facilities.
My name is Jonathan Solomon and I am from the organisational team of the climate camp 2011 in the Lausitz region. Together with the rhein brown coal area near cologne the active spaces of years of energy struggle from civil movements and locals with RWE and Vattenfall. But we don’t stand alone. We stand together with the anti-nuclear movements and are organised with German-Polish anti-nuclear camp, for we have a common goal: energy sovereignty, energy democracy.
The legal decision over CO2-ultimate disposal will be made in Germany this year. Affected through the attitude of their government is mostly Brandenburg and on long-term effects as well Berlin. Vattenfall continues their struggle by all means for securing profits from a inefficient and risky technology and accepts further destruction of woods and villages.
The societal decision, like the expiration dates of the nuclear power plants, is made by us. The political pressure of the growing resistance is getting to his climax. With the biggest demonstrations and blockades the movement has seen in ages. We now have the favour of history to exit nuclear energy and coal extraction and prevent further expropriation and ecological disasters through CO2 and nuclear waste.
That’s the reason we organise two climate and energy camps at the Rhein brown coal area at Cologne and at Jänschwalde near Cottbus. Climate camps are the attempt to build a countervailing power to the conventional climate- and energypolitics with elitist international climate summits, NGOs, governments and enterprises.
The three pillars of the camps are:
- linking of local resistance groups and exchange of ideas, experience and strategies
- low/no impact living using resources as efficient as possible
- direct action and mass civil disobedience to stop the destruction of our livelihoods
Now we have the possibility to influence central social questions of our whole civilisation:
There can’t be fake solutions of the question of our whole system. Risky, centralized and inefficient mining, transport and incineration systems like the nuclear and fossil industry belong to the past.
Right there is the chance of renewables, the possibility of decentralised energy extraction and democratic control over production and use of direct affected of the region. The question of energy, is a question of existence and power for the big four (RWE, EnBW, Eon, Vattenfall). The already expanding seeds of a democratic organised energy sector are public services and consensus democratical organised energycooperatives. We are a movement for energy democracy and with that also for climate justice. Living solidarity with those worldwide affected by fires, droughts, floods, storms as well as those threatened by extensive mining in Germany.
Lets start by switching our energy suppliers from Vattenfall, Eon, EnBw to civil-owned climate-friendly and no-nuclear suppliers like EWS.
Lets exchange our ideas and knowledge with our comrades for an accelerated change to 100% renewables clean, decentralized and democratic.
Lets show our government a clear refusal to engraved societal power relations articulated in the continuation of monopolistic, centralized energy systems.
And we can not stop here but have to answer the question of our enforced economic growth: how does our society in the midst of extreme weather events and shrinking resources have to look like?

Energiekämpfe - Meine Rede auf dem Alexanderplatz Berlin bei den Atomforumprotesten
Mehr als 30.000 enteignete Menschen aus 136 Dörfern in Deutschland und es sollen mehr werden. Fünf weitere Dörfer bei Cottbus und bei Köln sind von der Abbaggerug durch Vattenfall und RWE bedroht. Warum? Weil für die Unternehmen billige, für die Menschen in den bedrohten Dörfern und vom Klimawandel weltweit betroffene, bitter teure Braunkohle zu haben ist. Da interessiert es nicht das die Dörfer schon Energieautark mit 100% Erneuerbaren sind, mehr Energie produzieren als sie selber verbrauchen, selbstorganisiert in Biogasanlagen, Solargenossenschaften- und Windparks.
Ich heiße Jonathan und komme vom Organisationsteam des bundesweiten Klima- und Energiecamps 2011 in der Lausitz. Mit dem rheinischen Braunkohlerevier bei Köln die aktiven Plätze jahrelanger Energiekämpfe von Bürger_Inneninitiativen und lokaler Anwohner_Innen mit RWE und Vattenfall.
Doch wir stehen nicht alleine. Wir stehen hier zusammen mit den Energiekämpfe um AKWs und Gorleben, wir organisieren uns zusammen mit dem deutsch-polnischen Anti-Atomcamp, denn wir haben ein gemeinsames Ziel: Energiesouveränität, Energiedemokratie.
Die gesetzliche Entscheidung über die CO2-Endlager wird dieses Jahr in Deutschland getroffen. Betroffen von der Verpressung ist durch die Einstellung der Landesregierung vor allem Brandenburg, in den vielen negativen Auswirkungen wie die Versalzung des Grundwassers auch Berlin. Vattenfall kämpft mit allen Mitteln durch eine risikobehaftete und ineffiziente Technologie zukünftige Gewinne zu sichern und nimmt dabei die unnötige Zerstörung weiterer Dörfer und Wälder in Kauf.
Die gesellschaftliche Entscheidung treffen, wie auch bei der Verlängerung der Atomwerkslaufzeiten, wir. Der politische Druck jahrelangen anschwellenden Widerstandes kommt langsam zu seinem Höhepunkt. Bei den größten Demonstrationen und Blockaden, die die Bewegung seit langem gesehen hat. Wir haben jetzt die Gunst der Geschichte aus der Atomkraft und Kohleverstromung auszusteigen und damit die Entscheidung ob Zwangsenteignungen und ökologische Katastrophen durch CO2 und Atommüll-Endlager fortgeführt werden können.
Deshalb finden dieses Jahr zwei Klimacamps im Rheinischen Braunkohle Revier bei Köln und in der Lausitz in Jänschwalde bei Cottbus statt. Klimacamps sind ein Versuch eine Gegenmacht zu herkömmlicher Klima- und damit Energiepolitik über elitäre internationale Klimagipfel, NGOs, Regierungen und Unternehmen aufzubauen.
Die 3 Säulen der Camps sind:
- Vernetzung lokaler Widerstände und Akteure der Energiewende und Wissensaustausch über Strategien und Möglichkeiten.
- Ressourcenschonendes Leben auszuprobieren auch im Hinblick auf Energieeffizienz
- und direkte Aktion massenhaften zivilen Ungehorsam gegen die fortgeführte Zerstörung unserer Lebensgrundlage durch die Energieunternehmen.
Hier haben wir nun die Möglichkeit, direkt auf zentrale gesellschaftliche Entscheidungen unserer gesamten Zivilisation einzuwirken:
Es darf keine Scheinlösung der Systemfrage geben. Risikobehaftete, zentralistischen und ineffiziente Abbau-, Transport- und Verbrennungssysteme wie in der Atomkraftindustrie und der Kohleverstromung gehören der Vergangenheit an.
Hier liegt auch unsere Chance in den Erneuerbaren die Möglichkeit der dezentralen Energiegewinnung und demokratischer Kontrolle über Produktion, Nutzung von direkt Betroffenen der Region.
Die Frage der Energie, ist für die großen Vier Konzerne eine Frage ihrer Existenz und ihrer Machtstellung.
Die bereits arbeitenden Keimzellen eines demokratisch organisierten Energiesektors werden die Stadtwerke und basisdemokratisch organisierte Energiegenossenschaften und –kooperativen. Wir sind eine Bewegung für Energiedemokratie und damit auch für Klimagerechtigkeit. Solidarisch mit den weltweit durch Überschwemmungen, Waldbränden und Dürren Betroffenen, sowie mit den Menschen in den Abbaugebieten hier in Deutschland.
Fangen wir an, indem wir unseren Stromanbieter wechseln weg von Vattenfall, RWE und Eon zu Bürgerinitiativen und klimafreundlichen und atomstromfreien Anbietern wie EWS!
Holen wir uns Erfahrungen und Anregungen von Mitstreitern für einen beschleunigten Wechsel zu 100% Erneuerbaren sauber, dezentral und demokratisch.
Zeigen wir der Regierung eine klare Absage an die Zementierung gesellschaftlicher Machverhältnisse in Form der Fortführung monopolistischer, zentralistischer Energiesysteme.
Doch Wir können auch dann nicht stehen bleiben und müssen uns die Fragen unseres Zwangs zum Wirtschaftswachstum beantworten, wie kann und muss eine zukunftsfähige Gesellschaft inmitten unserer extremen Wetterintensitäten und sinkender Ressourcen aussehen?

S21 - Standing in Court soon
After some of our fellows have been prosecuted for the occupation of the trainstation, I will be the first person being sued for coercion in five cases due to the blockades of the construction site. Might be out of chance, might be because some people in green (who again and again personally affronted me at various actions and demonstrations) like to have me out of their way early.
Almost a year after destruction started against massive protests, its still not clear if the trainstation works more effective, if the minimal cost security concept could save any live during an accident and how bad disabled and old peoples are affected by the limited space and track-concept in order to save money.
But of course it is about more than a trainstation: Its about continuining politics that excludes affected people from decisions, that pursues the logic of gaining capital over the real needs of people and that systematically uses violence, oppression and legal persecution on those that are questioning false information and don't accept corrupt "business as usual". What moves me most is the concept of violence used in the discourse of our society: I am accused of having forced a human with violence to an act, toleration or neglect. Friends, lawyers and fellows tell me definitely it is an act of violence to sit on a street or track and block construction materials. I ask myself in which relation does it stand towards the violence of people being forced to leave their homes, being forced to have their park and memories destroyed, being forced to accept radioactive waste in their region, being forced to have no chance to participate in society and decisions and being even more marginalised in the not-caring faster-higher-bigger rational of our economy. And I haven't mentioned the direct violence of the police which I was happy to experience extensively the last 6 month. How come nobody of these decision makers are sitting in court for S21, for nuclear waste and for coerced resettlements in mining areas?....How come people in the affected areas accept this violence, but people who stand in against it are put on the pillory in court saying you are using violence and you have to take the consequence? How come people are afraid (or have to be afraid) of using blockades as a justified mean to defend their home and their environment?
Anyway I have no regrets, the only regret is that I see the Deutsche Bahn is still doing a so called "stress-test" designed by themselves, realized by themselves and published by themselves for their own interest and politicians & people are calling it a democratic milestone. And stop going to the streets. I know what you might say...let me say in the end its all a question of priorities, courage and a long, strong breath (firebreeze ;-)) After a night where 70.000 people have been to the streets and at midnight the Deutsche Bahn brought a second digger to destruct faster, we blocked the roads. A police officer swichting of his microphone asked me: What are you doing? Pressure from the streets never worked, you have to get them where their only interest is: money. Stop paying taxes, fees etc. 8 month later I am 100% sure: The only thing that works is being on the streets and block their actions and have them revealed the hidden violence of their power structure and their economic and social discrimination. So the world can see their minds.

And I am happy and proud that people organize the first national protest camp on the weekend in Stuttgart, with workshops, music, discussions and......a mass blockade on the destruction site with the whole camp for monday and tuesday. The silence before the storm
Things finally moved me to Berlin. Organising the climate camp (www.lausitzcamp.info) trying to stop CCS, making music and hopefully soon back to grade eight to thirteen. On the other side of the desk though ;-) For some anti-discrimination and civil courage hours at schools. And yes behind the bar again to survive.
Visiting Cologne, the Rheinisches Braunkohlerevier (brown coal area), last weekend and Jänschwalde Cottbus Lausitzer Braunkohlerevier this weekend and talking to locals & campaigners, looking at the forests, villages and landscapes that shall be destroyed leaves me quite puzzled. My brain just can't comprehend the absolute destruction of nature and social bondages. Just dredged away homes, trees, fields. We can not let this happen.
60.000 (!!!) more trees of beautiful and unique Hambacher Forst shall be bucked starting this winter.
The people of the villages are quite pissed, some worn out of false promises and struggles, lost hope and annoyed of RWE, the west-german energy giant, dictating conditions for the resettlement. Some of them say its too late. Some say the deals and plans have been made decades ago. Yes, at a time when nobody knew about climate change, fine dust, and radioactive materials that are released and all together kill millions of people through starvation in droughts, floods, cancer and storms. When nobody knew about the technical limits of human intervention forcing farmers and householders to stay away from their "restored" excavation land for security reasons. Some say Greenpeace came, climbed a digger and left.
I say: we will come to stay.
